Assessments: Ensuring the best Protectors in the Industry
Apart from regular training, all BGA Protectors undergo a rigorous assessment once a year. This assessment evaluates a Protector’s overall understanding, ability and legal compliance when operating in the protection
|
arena. The assessment is carried out over a two-day period and evaluates Protectors using an internationally recognized assessment tool.
Legal Compliance looks at the Protector’s compliance in terms of the law to operate in a specific country or region.
Hard Skills Evaluation takes into account a Protector’s past experience in terms of relevant course certification and includes a practical assessment of their current skill sets. During the hard skills evaluation we look at overall fitness, range ability, driving skills etc.
The Soft Skills component evaluates everything from dress sense to computer literacy. Aspects taken into account are the Protector’s ability to
|
plan a project as well as criteria that may make a Protector more marketable to a client (additional languages etc).
Through these assessments BGA is able to rank security personnel internationally using a common evaluation tool. In addition training needs are determined and implemented to enhance the standard of Protectors we provide to our clients.
All Protectors are evaluated by an independent panel of protection specialists and only appear on the database if they meet the critical criteria determined by this panel. Integrity and Quality are assured.
BGA can also be requested to assess your current protection team's ability in relation to international best practices.
